Something to chuckle. Some people read Ip Man as IP Man, IP as in Internet Protocol, hence the Internet Protocol Man. -__-||| Bwahahahaha..... Couldn't blame them because there are these Westerners' Superman, Spiderman, Batman, and Malaysians' very own Cicakman. So, if they can't read the phrase "葉問", then they will say, "It's IP Man!" errrr.... rather proudly.Anyway, I've watched Ip Man and I agreed undoubtedly that this is also one of the best martial arts (whether Wing Chun or Kungfu or Wushu) movie that I've watched since the legendary Once Upon A Time in China 1-5 and Fearless. A very notable point is that the actors, be they leads or co-stars, Chinese or Japanese, gave impressive performances.
The fight scenes were amazingly choreographed. Although I shun any kind of violence, I find myself watching every single fight scene without battling my eyelids. One of favorite scene was the one between Donnie Yen (Wing Chun) and Hiroyuki Ikeuchi (Judo). Watch it!Donnie Yen's performance deserves applause! This would be his best performance to date, a role that leaves a very deep impression to those who watched this movie. Just as how Jet Li is widely known as Wong Fei Hung, Fong Sai Yuk and Huo Yuan Jia, I believe Donnie Yen's portrayal as Ip Man will definitely pave the way for him to be the next martial arts icon. Kudos!
