With a solid cast of veterans - Tony Leung (梁家輝), Anthony Wong (黃秋生), Eason Chan (陳奕迅), and Bowie Lam (林保怡); freshies - Alex Fong (方力申), Kate Tsui (徐子珊) and seductive Natalie Meng (孟瑤) with her terrible Cantonese pronunciation, this movie is rather eye-opening while taking a little break from Wong Jing's usual vulgar and cheesy comedies.
In essence, "I Corrupt All Cops" is a fictionalized movie about the corrupted Hong Kong police force activities (1963-1973) that ultimately led to the establishment of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) service in 1974.
Personally, I gave perfect scores for Tony Leung's powerful performance as the corrupted, ruthless, and arrogant Chinese Chief Inspector Lak. I loved the scene where he bashed one triad society's leader to death just because that good-for-nothing fella raised his voice against him. Anthony Wong, who took on the role as a useless and foul-mouthed low ranking cop named Unicorn is also another spectacle to behold. Watching his tug-of-war with his inner self to find human integrity in the evil world of corruption is kinda heart-wrenching. As usual, a lot of people had to die. :(
